From the moment I met Patricia I knew that she was everything I want to be when I get older. Her cute home sits on a tiny little block in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia was filled with antiques and as cozy as could be.
She wrote her first book after years of writing stories for her grandchildren as birthday and Christmas presents (cue crying). She adapted those stories into a full length middle-grade fiction book called Goldmine House. She described the story to me during our photoshoot, and I seriously cannot wait to read it!
I am a firm believer in everyone getting professional photos done every few years, not just because my livelihood depends on it, but because you get to see yourself in a way you may not have before. Patricia was nervous before her author portraits and kept telling me to make her look “young and thin.” I think she came out looking better than what she was looking for, because she looks like herself and that is just perfect.
Oh and did I mention her maiden name is McBride?!? No relation to me, but still cool.
