City Hall weddings have an energy like none other. There are people outside of the building selling flowers, rings, and there are no shortage of photographers handing out their cards in the hopes that someone will want their photos taken. Inside, there are hundreds of people waiting in line to get married in a variety of different takes on wedding attire. I highly recommend taking a peek inside this building one day to get a feel for what I’m talking about here. The whole thing was over in a flash, with the officiant warning everyone to get into position because it was going to be quick. It was all short, simple and beautiful.
After the main event we walked across the Brooklyn Bridge to take a few more photos and walking around the city in a wedding dress definitely gets you noticed. People were congratulating and even hugging the couple all afternoon. Check out a few of my favorite shots from this NYC City Hall wedding, and let me know if you have any questions about planning your own City Hall wedding!
