Bri and Rob knew they wanted a dark edge to their romantic wedding venue. This Parque Ridley Creek wedding is a perfect example of how you can craft your wedding around your personal style. The venue’s lowkey castle aesthetics fit the witchy, romantic atmosphere that Bri wanted to cultivate. Their photos are full of personality even in such a commanding space.
You don’t have to be the fairytale type to get swept up in the romance of a Parque Ridley Creek wedding. This Philadelphia wedding venue features a stone mansion and incredibly preserved historic interiors. The 1915 mansion draws on inspiration from Tudor castles. Think dark wood paneling around carved stone fireplaces. Even the deep window seats invite you to pause and take it all in.
While the house itself is amazing, the outdoor space is a must-see. The firm that designed Central Park is behind the original landscape design. It includes large stone steps and slate walkways. Stone arches create fun shapes that invite cool compositions for photos. It’s beautiful year round, but I loved the deep red and gold foliage at this fall wedding.
A Parque Ridley Creek wedding can look lots of different ways. Bri and Rob really leaned into the regal vintage aesthetic with crimson furniture and florals. More on that in a minute!
All Parque Ridley Creek weddings are catered by Peachtree Catering and Events. In addition to food that gets lots of good reviews, they provide basics like dishes, flatware, glassware, tables, set up, and more. The starting site fee for a reception is $,6000, and the starting site fee for a ceremony is $1,200. This wedding venue accommodates up to 150 people.
This wedding venue is located inside Ridley Creek State Park. The park is located about forty minutes west of Center City Philadelphia. It’s popular for hiking and fishing in the summer. If any of your wedding guests are outdoorsy, they might enjoy staying near the park and making a whole weekend getaway out of it.
For their Parque Ridley Creek wedding, Bri and Rob infused so much of their own personality seamlessly into the celebration. It started with Bri’s look. She opted for a gown with metallic gold details. Her black belt, gold jewelry, and black nails balanced bridal with a witchy influence. (She described it as Sophia Coppoal meets Practical Magic.) Rob’s dark navy and black tux created the same feeling of dark elegance. They looked amazing together!
Bri brought this same feeling to every detail at their wedding. If you think that a lot of the decor looks antique, you’d be right. Bri scoured antique stores for the colorful bottles and candle holders you see. She even went antiquing the morning of the wedding to find a few last minute details for the space.
Their florals amped up the edgy romantic energy. Scarlet and orange coral amaranth draped over the corner of the ceremony space. Red roses, and amaranth wrapped with greenery trailed across a window seat behind the old school tiered cake. Bri seriously thought of everything.
The activities were as important as the decor when it came to making this Parque Ridley Creek wedding feel very Bri and Rob. They made sure there were so many fun things for guests to do and explore. During cocktail hour and dinner, they even had a Tarot reader available to do readings for guests.
There’s no doubt that Bri and Rob designed their Parque Ridley Creek wedding with creativity and intention. It also was evident throughout the day that they also wanted to have fun with their people. Their connections shine through in the candid photos. Whether it’s Rob doing shots with wedding guests or their explosive laughter during speeches, you could feel how much they loved their guests and were loved right back.
After dinner, Bri got the dance floor started with some bold moves. Everyone had a blast cheering her on as Rob joined her. This wedding was definitely one to remember.
