Weddings in 2021 are becoming more intimate, allowing us to appreciate our close circles in some stunning locations. And a Vaux Studio wedding is no exception.

Vaux studio is one of those hidden away design charms in the heart of Philly that – as a micro-wedding photographer – I’ve had the pleasure of seeing in all of its glory. And I simply can’t miss giving it a shout-out. 

Specializing in ceremonies of no more than 24 guests, a Vaux Studio wedding could be the perfect choice for the low-key couple with high-key taste.

With that, I wanted to take you for a walk-through of everything you can expect with a Vaux Studio wedding (and more!).

1. The Vaux Studio Ceremony Room

There’s no surprise the Vaux Studio venue has been given the “Best of Philly” award. It’s all down to the sophisticated and intimate interior of the chapel.

With a simple and minimalistic design, any micro-wedding photographer will be able to capture your best angle while incorporating the sweet tones of the room, the aesthetic pleasures, and the joy of the day.

One feature to become a forever love, aside from your fiancée, is the floor-to-ceiling picture windows. They let the light flood into the room to become the backdrop to your vows while framing you perfectly with natural light.

You’ll say your “I Do’s” underneath the natural-wood arbor that can be adorned with white drapery and florist-fresh blooms. You’ll be stood next to the architectural pinnacle of history with the original marble fireplace, and you’ll walk above the wooden floorboards with a rolled carpet.

That’s not all, either. Every corner of this Vaux Studio wedding venue feels almost hand-crafted for picture-perfect opportunities. Especially with the checkerboard flooring that runs down the grandeur winder staircase preluding the suite and through the hall.

2. The Vaux Studio Wedding Suite

A beautiful consideration taken by the Vaux Studio wedding team is the recent addition of their Wedding Suite. There’ll be no need for the words rush, panic, or scramble in your wedding day vocabulary.

Fittingly above the ceremony space, the wedding suite brings the opportunity to relax and prepare for each word of the vows on your Vaux Studio wedding day. There’s even space for both a hair and makeup room with a decorative room set up specifically for the photoshoot (something to please your micro-wedding photographer!).

It features more floor-to-ceiling single-hung windows with muntins dating back to the foundations of the building as well as another one of those stunning black marble fireplaces.

You’ll also have use of the kitchen, the living room and (of course) the bathroom. So, whether you need a last-minute snack, a quick sit down, or simply somewhere to escape for a moment’s peace, Vaux Studio has it covered.

3. The Vaux Studio Location

One of the best parts of opting for an intimate Vaux Studio wedding is the sheer choice of where to venture next. If you’re choosing to tie the knot right here in Philadelphia, you’ll probably be proud to call it home or answering to the calls of the City of Brotherly Love.

So, you may already know the city is home to picturesque and life-radiating locations. Or you may not.

Hint: as a micro-wedding photographer who’s had the opportunity to capture a Vaux Studio wedding or two, I suggest heading out to Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens.  It’s just an 8-minute walk from your Vaux studio wedding while bringing a level of color to your day in a way that echoes your thoughts and feelings. 

Or, perhaps all that excitement has left you craving some of Philly’s best gelato. In which case, a 15-minute walk will take you to the award-winning Gran Caffe L’Aquila for an amaretto, a bacio, or even a cheesecake all’amarena.

Then again, if you’re wanting to make the most of your day (and your micro-wedding photographer), why stop at just one place? Take it all in with a tour of Philly’s most picturesque buildings like the Museum of Art and the Civic Hall.

4. The Vaux Studio Wedding Package

There are two Vaux Studio wedding packages you can choose from for your big day. 

There’s the “Intimate Affair” and the “Best Wishes” package with the “Intimate Affair” being an inviting $1795 and the “Best Wishes” being a more comprehensive $2295 for the day. 

Of course, there are add-ons and personalizations you can organize for the day, too. 

But, for a quick breakdown, here are the wedding day features you’ll be able to enjoy with both wedding packages:

• An on-site officiant

• A ceremony and vow-exchange

• Two hours in the wedding suite before the ceremony

• Refrigerated cake storage

• Hors d’oeuvres storage

• Complimentary champagne toast (for you and your guests!)

• Natural wood arbor

• Up to 24 guests

The only differences between the “Intimate Affair” and ‘Best Wishes” packages are the guest list numbers and the time in the venue. 

P.S. I recommend going with the “Best Wishes” package for your Vaux Studio wedding. It’ll give you as much time as possible to take in the day, enjoy those around you and make the most out of saying “I Do”.
