Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve is a beautiful wedding venue outside of New Hope, PA. This incredible nature preserve is a hidden gem. Its stunning landscape is matched by a dedicated events team. Paris and Sarthak’s intimate summer wedding felt as relaxed and joyful as their wedding photos.

Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve

Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve is a really unique combination of botanical garden, nature preserve, and museum. Over 700 native plant species thrive in its rolling fields and wooded paths. It’s peaceful and beautiful in a wild kind of way.

Depending on your guest count, Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve has five different spaces available for ceremonies and receptions. Given that the preserve is over 134 acres, each space feels like a world of its own. Small weddings can make use of:

• The Gazebo
• The Audubon Observatory
• The Visitor Center Auditorium

Larger celebrations can use:

• The Moore Pavilion
• The New Pond
• The Stone Bridge

Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve has capacity for events anywhere from 25 to 200 guests. The cost for a ceremony and reception starts at $9,500. This venue provides a lot of items you would otherwise have to rent. They can provide  audio equipment, chairs, tables, and tents, among other things. It cuts down on the number of vendors you need.

One thing that I liked about Bowman’s Hill is that they have such a dedicated events team. That makes a huge difference on a wedding day when things don’t always go as planned. The events team helped keep Paris and Sarthak’s wedding day as relaxed and easygoing as they’d hoped. 

Bowman’s Hill is located in New Hope. It’s about 45 minutes north of Philadelphia. Being so close to New Hope, there are cute bed and breakfasts available. If you’re aiming for peak blooms, late April and May are the best times to get married at Bowman’s Wildflower Preserve.

Organic Garden Wedding Portraits

At Paris and Sarthak’s Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve wedding, we had chances to take some beautiful portraits all around the venue. They kept their wedding low key with a relaxed timeline. It gave us a chance to explore all the gorgeous natural settings from the gazebo to the pond.

Wandering around the preserve for photos, you feel like you’re not even in a wedding venue. Everything feels so private. The venue gave us a golf cart to get to different photo spots, too. We got to see everything we could want. 

Bowman’s Hill really struck that balance of feeling super green and natural without the stress of being completely DIY. Paris and Sarthak got to relax and enjoy their family and friends’ company. That made it easy for me to take plenty of organic candid photos. The whole day was nonstop smiles.

A Family-Centered Wedding for Paris and Sarthak

Paris and Sarthak decided to keep their day focused on family and close friends. They kept their guest list under 50 people. It gave them a chance to spend time with all of their guests in a meaningful way.

They held their ceremony on the stone circle just off the pond at Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve. They had a gorgeous arch and some floral arrangements beside the benches. Other than that, they didn’t have to do much to make the space feel magical. 

After the ceremony, everyone sat down at picnic tables to enjoy a nice meal. Paris and Sarthak had time to wander between tables to greet guests and enjoy some food themselves.

When you have such a spacious wedding venue, it’s nice to take advantage with entertainment during your reception. Paris and Sarthak brought lawn games. It was a great way for guests to mingle and make memories. 

Everyone’s favorite game came later in the reception when Paris’s twin faced off with Sarthak in a game to see who knew Paris better. Her twin won. The guests loved it!
