The Valley Green Inn is a unique Philly wedding venue. It gives you an immersive experience of nature right in the heart of the city. K and A’s wedding brought this venue vibrant flowers and sweet moments. Their wedding photos show what’s really possible at this beautiful wedding venue.

You get the best of Pennsylvania’s natural beauty and the conveniences of the city at the Valley Green Inn. Driving through the winding roads of Wissahickon Valley Park, you’re quickly surrounded by rolling hills and trees. The inn sits alone beside the creek. It’s inviting and peaceful with its bright white walls and green shutters.

The Valley Green Inn has multiple spaces you can use on your wedding day.

If you want more space to dance, you can bring a tent and set up for post-dinner celebrations beside the inn.

Here are some quick facts to help you plan your Valley Green Inn wedding.

If you love the idea of a Valley Green wedding but aren’t into huge parties, you can save by having a brunch wedding. That puts your costs at $55 per person as opposed to $140 per person.

The Valley Green Inn is the only wedding venue in Wissahickon Valley Park. For people who like to take long weekend walks here, it’s an appealing setting to get married in. The original inn was built around 1850 at the same time as Lincoln Drive. It’s a fun slice of Philadelphia history that’s different from the Neo-classical and Colonial architecture of Old City. Even though the inn doesn’t serve as a hotel anymore, it’s a favorite spot for a leisurely brunch.

K and A’s Valley Green Inn wedding was all of my favorite things. They’re a super sweet couple, and their day centered the most important connections in their lives. From beginning to end, K and A put enjoying the day over checking items off a list of things they were “supposed to” do. It was perfect.

The florals brought so much personality to this wedding. K carried an incredible bouquet in hues of red, pink, and orange. The vibrant colors popped against the greens and browns of the woods.

Orange flowers and dried grasses brought color and movement to the ceremony space, too. I loved the way they framed K and A during their ceremony. It made the creekside ceremony feel organic but elevated.

The fun florals carried all the way through the reception. Clusters of small flower arrangements decorated the reception tables. Vibrant pressed flowers and ferns even decorated the tiered wedding cake. It looked like a work of art.

As a wedding photographer, I live for the weddings where people forget that I’m there. I’m happy to provide gentle direction when people want it, especially if it makes them more comfortable in front of the lens. Candid photos are my favorites, though.

K and A’s Valley Green Inn wedding photos are that perfect mix of gently posed portraits and candid moments. I loved exploring the park with them for romantic moments like their first look. Some of my favorite pictures are of them interacting with friends and family. The laughter, hugs, and in-between moments made the day what it was.
